Travel Arrangements: The Bahamas are one of the easier destination to reach. Daily flights to most of the islands are available as well as charter services departing from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach.
Tourism Offices / Embassies / Passports / Documents Needed: ***New and Very Important Travel Information!*** Starting in January 2007, all clients traveling to the Bahamas will need a valid passport when traveling out of country by air or sea to countries including but not limited to, The Bahamas, Canada, Mexico and Bermuda. "Effective January 8, 2007, Passports, Merchant Mariner Documents (MMDs) or NEXUS Air cards would be required for all air travel, and most commercial sea travel, from within the Western Hemisphere for citizens of the United States, Canada, Mexico and Bermuda. This is a change from the previously scheduled date of January 1, in order to accomodate holiday travel."
Projected Weather: The Islands of the Bahamas have temperate weather most of the year. Even the winter months can be great fishing depending on the weather. Many of our clients largest bonefish have come during this time of the season. The prime season is typically thought to be Oct-Dec. and April-June. The later summer months can be great but you run the risk of hurricanes disrupting the trip.
